
FINANCIAL AID WORKSHOP Tuesday, February 10, 2009 6:00 p.m.
The Institute has received a grant from the James Irvine Foundation to help guide our youth to college. This project will target first-generation college-going, low-income Imperial County high school students seeking enrollment in post-secondary education. College Knowledge will provide universal access to students and their families in need of college guidance and knowledge utilizing individual counseling sessions and group workshops.
Grant Participation Guidelines
| 1. | Be first-generation college-going and low-income student in the Imperial Valley | | 2. | Between 14 and 24 years of age (Preference is given to 10th graders) | | 3. | Maintain a Minimum 3.0 grade point average | | 4. | Have no discipline and/or attendance problems | | 5. | A parent or an adult family member must participate in the project |
